You can put any size hard disk you like into the xbox really. Though the largest I have fitted for customers to date is a 750Gb.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

Be aware that you need to set the cluster size to 32Kbytes for large partitions...and you will need at least two partitions F and a G for a 1 T drive, otherwise as soon as you have more than 256gig of data on a single partition the xbox will run out of allocation units and start writing over the beginning (which is bad). With cluster size of 32 you can have a max partition size of >500ish gig.

The xbox will work perfectly until it runs out of allocation units, I have had more than one xbox come to me because a chip installer does not know how to set large drives up properly, does his bit and it works OK, sends it off to his customer, then the customer tries fill his drive and suddenly finds his drive has dropped its guts....

If you know how its not very hard, but woodstocks suggestion is easiest providing you can get a cable to where ur xbox lives.
