I have been able to secure some of the U4 Quad SAT/FTA/IPTV boxes for a raffle. The same supplier as the giveaway, Vivant Tech, has agreed to supply me some at cost price and will ship to the winner.

I was thinking maybe 50 tickets per box @$5 each. That will give some reasonable profit to donate and also gives members a VERY good chance of winning (1 in 50 in raffle V's 1 in 750 in giveaway). Of course if you want to increase your odds of winning, you buy more tickets.

If you are mathematically inclined, you could probably devise a master plan to give you your best chance

More to come soon via a mail out.

well done Andrew, that will get everyone interested; hell, I doubt I need one of them U4 quads, however I'll buy a ticket anyway, even though I have already donated.

    Let's help this kid.
    Cheers, Tiny

I'm more than happy to rattle the tin for the descendants of those 3 Hardy Brothers mentioned above.

Get the asps outta ya pockets the rest of you lot. If not for the 2 present-day Lintons, do it gratefully and in memory of the blokes who laid it all on the line so we all could have what we've now got ......
Just a follow up for you Surething, as you appreciated the Anzac link.

I am helping Linton Snr do his family tree, its fairly complicated as he had a pretty hard upbringing with his mother giving up him and his 2 brothers.

Anyway, I didnt quite get it all correct it seems. There were 5 brothers, 3 served in WW1 and 2 served in WW2.

Harry Linton Hardy was KIA at Gallipoli in 1915.
Leslie George Hardy died on an Ambulance Train in France in 1918 after being shot in the face.
Percy James Hardy spent 2 years fighting in France before being sent home as an invalid in 1918 with shell shock.

William Edward Hardy served in WW2.....he enlisted in June 1940 and was discharged in Feb 1948, nearly 8 years....an incredible amount of time.
John Raymond Hardy, Linton Snr's grandfather served in WW2, he enlisted in May 1940 and was discharged as a Lieutenant in Aug 1946 , 6 years and 3 months service.

I dont think I have come across any family (apart from in books) that have given that amount of service.

    You are a good friend
I donated $250 just now. Wish them well. Amazing he wants to work so bad, a lot of people could take a leaf out of his young book!

Same here I would gladly donate but I only use Paypal.

    Hi
    Thank you for your email.
Yes I will donate something small from my pension.
However I prefer to use a Paypal Account.
BTW I live in an EU country so the payment will be in Euros.
Best regards and well done for your altruistic gesture.

Admin did you check the current amount people have been donating. I donated 100 dollars a couple days ago to go with the 50 prior and i seen the previous donation was like 16 days prior. But since i donated it has gone a little crazy which is good he should have his car soon.

Np m8 i know we had our differences but this things bring people together. I'm glad he is over the amount he wanted and people are still generously donating maybe he can end up getting a better car then a 5.000 dollar one.
I'll go cheap in another 50 make it closer to 6k.
The dude must be proud to have a friend like you.
