What brand and model is it ???
I was in the wreckers todaylooking for parts and wondered about all the radios left in cars. If i recovered a likely looking one,how would I go about finding out the code that was installed in the radio,is there a way apart from trying all of the 1000 combinations.

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
You could torrent "car radio code calculator".
There are also some sites that charge less than $20, i also think ive seen disks on ebay.
Ive never tried the torrent though.
Some dealers can help over the phone (free), some a pricks and charge.
They may want the cars vin Number, rego etc
Software calculators may need the serial number off the case.
Edit; found this enjoy.
There is suppose to be a ver2 out also, a little searching should dig it up.

thanks mate, that will do the trick
just go to the manufacter, a few years back I had radio out of a ford when the battery went flat, I needed the code for the radio cassette player, so I contacted the local ford dealer, gave them the serial number of the back of the radio and they got me the code.
Democracy & Ignorance = A Winning Combination
If you do get one out of a car make sure you get the vin, it is a lot easier with this from the car manufacturer ie: ford/holden than getting it from the radio manufacturer, which is a huge pain in the arse.
What happens if I press alt + F4?
I stole that Radio decoder program too
SORRY
I can't help myself when people give things away free.
The worst part is when you steal those naked women photos.
Heaps a times they got them dumbarse virusses attached to 'em as well and you don't even know.
I don't go for them naked women no more.
Not worth it.
