That's a good question! I know I just got a catalog that tells you the options that you can purchase, but I don't know if that publications tracks to a firmware revision over time, or not. hm

Does anyone have information as to the whereabouts to a download for Harris firmware? I'm looking for the matching firmware for the P7200 and P7300 using RPM13.
    Thx!

    Hey All,

Is there anyone that has and can post a new link to R09.00.41 Firmware for an XTS2500?

I have a 2500 that someone flashed to be a BN and put it in a BN case before I received it with a bunch of actual BN radios. When I went to upgrade the firmware on them obviously it didn't work as it was supposed to but I'm sure it will come back with the older firmware, I don't have a copy to try.

Not a huge deal if this one is dead, it has a bunch of good parts if anything!

    Thanks!

    Andy

Since it would seem the master list is down, Does anyone have a link to the Astro25 R15 firmware? I would be eternally grateful.

Maybe I'm just missing something, but using depot R15, with XTS2500 on R11.00.01, and in flashzap mode, it starts to try to flash, but gave me an error stating incorrect hardware. I used the .cvn labeled for the XTS. What am I missing?

    Hey Guys,

This is a really dirty way of flashing the firmware just FYI. I would suggest doing it the proper way and getting a Legit Moto Flash Button.

That being said, if you want to do the dirty flash you want to use the normal CPS, Not DEPOT.

To start you need to have the version of firmware you wish to flash to your radio.

Go up to tools I believe and than down to flashport and select upgrade radio. (correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have my laptop in front of me)

This will pull up a window in the cps.

You need to make sure you select the actual radio you are flashing (EX: XTS1500 or XTS2500 or XTS5000.)

The file will make a difference and if you do not select the proper file for your radio it will fail every time.

Once you have the file selected you now need to put the radio into flashzap mode.

Turn the radio off, push and hold the emergency orange button on top and the PTT button and turn the radio on. This will put it into FZ mode instantly and there will be a bunch of stuff on the screen.

Connect the radio to the program cable and I suggest a factory Moto cable for this. Preferably the serial cable.

Once connected to the radio put the radio down on the table. It's very important that you do not disturb the radio because if the connection is lost half way thru you will have a paper weight.

Now hit enter and start the upgrade. About 30 seconds later you will get an error and you can just hit ok. It will automatically retry and find the radio. (this is because of the dirty flash method)

Process for portables takes about five minutes or so.

When its complete you will get an error saying it cant read the flash ibutton and thats fine because it will still have upgraded the important parts EX: FW, DSP ect.

Keep in mind the radio will reset during the process at the end. Don't be fooled and don't touch the radio until you see the upgraded parts at the very end with the error message saying about 40%.

I have done this a few times so I know it works but again I say it's best to do it the right way so everything upgrades how it should.

**Please also check post #1013, thats a way I have never tried but I will now. Learn something new every day!!!**

    Enjoy!!
