Looks like the article is wrong. Foxtel have a new winter campaign where they are flogging a couple of free months with an IQ3!

Maybe they think by supplying the IQ3 'FREE' in this promotion it might reduce people complaining if as they say it has 'problem's'.
Apart from that, even if they are 'crook', they have you as a customer now which they didnt have before and maybe they can write off any box's that fail in service rather than having them gathering dust in a warehouse somewhere.

Just think that if you had a few thousand Units 'On Hand', wouldnt it be better to put them to work as some may work ok and those that dont, you replace them as required and write them off as a running a Business expense.
