It took over a decade to turn off the analog system and we were all told to buy digital tv's and we did only to have the two systems run side by side for years after thinking 2001 (i think) was the turn off date. So we all did the right thing. So then they turn off analog and suddenly we are told to buy mpeg4 tv's.
seriously.....what next, we all upgrade, costing 1000's only then to be told we need to buy MKV ready systems.
Just leave it alone.
Your only going to get more channels of crap anyway.
I was happy that 7flix returned to MPEG2. My old LG prefers MPEG2.
Its just the content that spoils the experience.

Statistically, if you wait long enough, everything will happen!
Dont forget that after the analog was switched off, they changed the band plan which for some meant a new antenna was needed as well, more cost !!
I am willing to bet the vast majority of viewers have absolutely no idea about formats like MPEG2 or 4 or could care less so long as they could find and watch their favourite shows and with the exception of the rather vague 'FreeView' ads, bought their new Flatscreen TV's thinking it came with everything ready to be used for the New Digital Channels.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

I knew they changed something, wasn;t sure exactly what it was until now. My little tv in the bedroom wouldn't show 7flix at all, and my main tv in the loungeroom would show it ok, but the sound was a bit 'low' ?? Now it's all good
Just haven;t found anything on there worth watching yet
Cheers.
When I was a kid, I used to have an imaginary friend. I thought he went everywhere with me. I could talk to him and he could hear me, and he could grant me wishes and stuff too. But then I grew up, and stopped going to church.
The average noddy wouldn't care if Neighbours was shown in HD or SD and probably couldn't tell the difference anyway. Just 'cause the image is transmitted as Mpeg4 doesn't mean that the majority of viewers are going to appreciate it.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
How can anyone justify transmitting a program like the Buccaneers made in 1956 (Robert Shaw) in glorious BLACK and WHITE in MPEG4 on 7Flix some weeks ago ???
'Good Times' with Kid DYNO MITE made in the mid 70's, etc, etc, etc..................
We regionals havent been blessed with receiving 7Flix yet (if ever) but I saw it advertised in the program guide.
