    Default Paradox EVO192, TM50 and 307USB

    Hi,

I have installed a EVO192 panel with a TM50 Touchscreen and some hardwired PIRs.
I wanted to program the panel with the "Babyware V2.9.9" software.
Looks like the communication works, i get couple of green ticks and the software recognises the panel with serial number.
At the end I get to red crosses and cannot established a connection to the panel.

X Initiating panel connection -> TimeOut
    X Wrong Panel ID.Authentication failed -> Error

Does somebody have some hints what it might the problem?

    Cheers,

    Michael

You need to put the panel identifier code and the other code in baby ware for the panel to accept the connection, by default it is blank in baby ware, if your unsure just put 0000 in both boxes

Hey, I'm getting the same error and still getting the same error after inputting 0000 in both boxes.

How do I find the panel ID code?

    Thanks
    Darrell

Have you ever successfully connected to another Paradox panel?

You will find getting a USB to Serial converter, port assignments and everything else your biggest challenge the first time.

Just because the software says it's connected does not always mean it is. I've had panel upload/download software say it was "connected" despite being routed to a different port with a faxmodem on it, shortly before failing and timing out (of course).

Sounds like you're a bit closer than this, but the above may help some poor sod in the future.

    That all looks normal.
I would double check your 2 passwords for the remote access.
Verify them via the code pad and see what that does

But hes not getting a authentication failure

If you know how, pull up a wireshark capture. It may be dropping packets. To be honest its a very odd place for the connection to be hanging.

True but I opened baby ware and changed one of my passwords to be incorrect, the second one.
I was getting a similar response but not the same as his.
Gotta start from the ground up

Under details it says "Wrong Panel ID. Authentication failed - Result: Error"

Is the second password under "System / PC Password" supposed to be the installer code?

Neither are the installer code. You really need to confirm these from the code pad
