yea there has been a bit of talk about a cardless stb getting around, have not seen one so far but thats not to say they are not around. as for information being passed around here i think you will fined it will be one of those mate things if you are not part of a core group you will be waiting a long time for it lol

It's not just the $400 for the card, you need to take into account dish, lnb, installation (optional), dreambox, reader and card costs (closer to $800).
If $800 is too much to loose then pay for an install otherwise fork out the cash and try your luck and learn some stuff along the way.
The fact that Skitzowombat has never posted on this board before, and his ONLY 2 posts are in a thread about the price of a white card.
And considering he has not posted back to say thanks or anything....
I'd say he has just contucted some very cheap market reseach on price and availability of such crads.... *wink wink*

hmmm, i picked up a humax 5400z for $50, u can buy a brand new dish and lnb for $60 if u shop around, and u can buy 100m of quad for $30 if you shop around, add a wallplate for $5 and $3 in connectors, hardly adds up to $800, well it didnt when i went to school, maybe maths has changed since then lol

Dream, card reader, delivery ($195) + 90 cm dish, lnb, roof mount + 20 m coax, wall plate, connectors, delivery $140 + installation if required approx $100 or more + card ($400) = $835..

Yes, there are things that can be done, I doubt very much however if the info you need will be forthcoming from anyone here.
