    Default multiroom sat help

Hey guys, I need your help/feed back

    I have
    3 small dishes (optus D2, Pas8 , and optus C1)
    and 1 big 3m dish,
I have them connected all to a 4 inputs disq switch..

I want to run a receiver to my bed room as well as the main room, and watch different channels

is there a disq switch that gives you 2 outputs?

    any suggestions?

    Thanks

If you have 2 receivers then just get yourself dual output lnb`s.

Even if there was a diseqc with 2 outputs, only 1 receiver would be able to watch 1 satellite at a time. If, say, the bed room receiver is on Optus C1, then the lounge room receiver wouldn't be able to switch to Pas8 or D2 as the diseqc is already switched to C1.

If you want to watch different channels in different rooms, then I'd recommend dual LNB's on all dishes, along with an extra diseqc and coax running all the way to the bedroom. Only problem is it's bloody expensive.

Just a dual output lnb is needed along with some coax. Dont need an extra diseqc switch.
click on the link and you`ll see the dual output lnb.

No extra diseqc? How will the bed room box switch to different dishes then?

If you want the same functionality in the other room a diseqc will be required with dual lnb's on all dishes but if only I sat is required then only one dual lnb on the required sat is needed but me finks he wants all of them

If you are going to feed V and H from the same dish to more than one STB at the same time you need a switch as this link these work well you may even be able to find a 3 in 2 out switch that could act as a switch and DiSEqC.

Is your big dish up on your roof?
Just mark its position on the pole carefully, undo the bolts on the mount, spin it around faceing into your roof and you can reach the lnb.

Totally wrong you are.... take a look at this multi switch.... 3 V and 3 H signals from both Cband and KU band running to 9 receivers which can what whatever they want all at the same time....

He just needs a proper multiswitch which will take care of all the voltage issues to the lnb's. I also have smaller 4 in 4 out and 4 in 8 out out as well. Non powered 2 in 6 out as well.

These are 220v powered multiswitches... the one above is 100m away from the dishes.... closest receiver is about 7m away furthest 3 are all 100 plus meters away from the switch meaning over 200m from the dishes.

AUD$220 delivered anywhere in Australia... just ask Mr Electricity he just bought one from me.

a 8 in, and whatever out multiswitch, hashoom. have dual output LNB's on all dishes, and run each to the multiswitch. then you can have a few outputs, all having access to each dish, on both polarities.

    mmm... big multiswitch... drool.. mmm...

Only if he needs dual polarity from all dishes.... ON the setup pictured Agila2 KU is H only and Inteslat 10 Cband is V only.... But Asiasat 2 and Asiasat 3 are V & H out with a single Cband LNB that has both a V & H port out for each dish.

Not a dual out dual polarity LNB.

he doesn't need a multi switch becasue he only wants to use 2 boxes so dual lnbs all round and a second diseqc will do the trick.
