Default Can't import Outlook Express data

Our desk top died rcently and we have bought an Acer Aspire L3600 which has Vista pre-installed. I'm currently using the Windows Mail. I'm trying to extract the data from the hard drive as an external so the files are .dbx. I found the files but it won't import. Anyone have any ideas?
I was also using Incredimail. Does that have a different data file or use the same as OE?

    Cheers

Cheers Bazza will do a search for them.
It's a PITA cause Vista won't allow me into local settings on the external HD unless I do a specific search. I don't know if this was because the HD OP was XP or not. Annoying in any case. Theres heaps of stuff I want to exreact but I don't know how to access it to see it

Next question, what can I use to open .bak files. I think this is where my contacts are hiding.

    Cheers

I don't know whether this will help or not.

For me exist some interesting tools on the Inet, but only some of them has many good capacities for resolving multifarious issues, which would help in this condition also - .
