You must have a lot of windows 98 apps or something

Apart from the initial startup bugs when I trialled it , it runs as good if not better than XP. I am happy enough that all my computers now run it. The only app I have seen it wouldnt run was an early version of V6 of Kaspersky Internet Security.

What are the names of these apps that wont run ? They must have crap support if they dont have Vista versions this long after its release.

If you look hard enough you will find the updated versions of most of the programs you like, that will be compatible with Vista. If not there will be different programs around that will do the job you want.
Me I like vista, if you have enough memory

You also have the option of running older apps in "Compatibility Mode"

Only thing i have had probs with is updating the roms on my phone, had to use Xp to do that.

Only 1 problem I have with Vista, it doesn't have drivers for my steering wheel. Doesn't bother me, I have Vista, XP and Ubuntu on the same PC.

    Happy days!

I installed vista unltimate on my machine last week. I was pretty resistant too, but having done it am enjoying the much faster boot, faster app switching and is easier on the eyes.

Only having trouble with the sql server... and the blue screens!
