    Default Concept 3000 & permaconn

I have a problem with Permaconn (PM45 v3) and Concept 3000 v4 or less. When attempting remote access via Panel Client software the Concept doesn't answer the call (works OK with v5+ ). Any suggestions for other GPRS units that might work?

Have you spoken with RDC? If not, that's the first option and see what they say.

Failing that, there are other options for download via 3G but none that I've seen as robust or as simple as PCS. Some require direct connection to hardware in the CMS to do it.

Am I missing something - does not IR have the T4000 doing upload / download ??

If you need to stay with the Permaconn, RDC tech support (and sales reps / distributors) have cheat sheets for all the different panels - as suggested try them. Also if needs upgrade (i.e. PM45 doing serial) they can do it.

Thanks RDC say it's a known problem. At the moment don't have the receiver for T4000.

I've had the same issue with the type 1 3k's. Even in the Permaconn software it says type 1 panels may not answer. We have some that do and some that don't.
If your control room doesn't have a receiver the other option if you have a phone line on site go with something like a direct wireless unit and get the gateway opened when you need to dial in. Or just let you client know their panel is due for an upgrade if they want remote support.

Thanks unfortunately they had Direct Wireless and cancelled the phone line when upgrading from 2g to 3g.

Get them to get one. Inner Range supply and install the Multipath IP Receiver free of charge.
Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who actually do

That's not how it works. Contact Radio Data Comms -

Permaconn is a fantastic product however I find MultipathIP best for Concept/Integriti panels, given its ability to support IRFast format reporting to monitoring centres - such as ours - that support it.

Agree with Downunderdan, we prompt bureaus non stop to stick with MIP for concept/integ panels as a brand matched pair.
