    Default RegistryBooster 2

    I just tried installing RegistryBooster 2 to try and retrieve som .BAK fikes and got this message

    Create process failed; Code 740
    The requested operation requires elevation


    What does this mean?

    "The requested operation requires elevation" means you need to "elevate" your privileges. ie administrative privileges to install the application. Right click and run as administrator.

    With regards to RegistryBooster retrieving some .BAK files, I don't think it does that, it is a Registry clean up utility.

    you would need a recovery program

    and do advanced search for that file extension.
    not "suppozed" to do recovery on drive running the os though.

    Thanks Guys
    I was looking at Booster cause a search re Bak files brought it up. The recovery would be from my hard drive from my dead computer which I've hooked up as an external.
    Personally I think I'm looking in the wrong places. All I really want is my email contacts which are in Incredimail on my old HD. I don't know how to extract them. Actually there's a lot of things I want but Vista won't let me look in my old local settings. I HATE NEW COMPUTERS
