Default Sanyo LCD 32XR9DA - Red and Blue flashing Standby Light

I have a Sanyo LCD 32XR9DA that intermittently won't turn on.

When you press the Standby button (on Remote or TV) the Standby Light goes from Red to Flashing Red and Blue.
What does this mean, something is overheated?

If I turn it off at the Mains and leave it for a while, it may go back to working again - until the next time.

So far I've inspected the Power Supply Board and there appear to be no obvious bad Capacitors or Dry Solder Joints.

    Any help would be appreciated.

That appears to be a very useful website for other manuals also. (Other members, shorten the link to see what I mean).

    Thanks for posting the link.

    Hi dingodadd

Did u manage to get your TV fixed? My Sanyo LCD-42XR9DA is having the same issue with the standby light flashing red & blue while trying to power on.

I am clueless with electronic & so after an electrician in Adelaide, any recommendation?

You need a TV technician rather than an electrician.

Telefix used to be very good.

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

Thanks oceanboy, I did read the above links but I am just too clueless to understand any of it.
I am thinking it might be a better move for me just to get a new TV rather than trying to fix it.

With a brand like Sanyo, i'd say you are 100% on track with that idea.
Why spend good money fixing an old unit, put it towards something better.

My Sony Bravia would be 8 or 9 years old now, never had a single issue
Sadly, it wouldn't even be worth $400 if i tried to sell it

Maybe you could sell the unit you have to a member here how has the ability to repair it
And use that money towards something new.
