    Default BISS encryption

    Hi All

I haven't visited this forum for quiet some time now but i recently install a new 2.3m heavy duty c-band dish pointed at Asiasat5 after being out of the feed hunting hobby for while.

With the vast amount of sport feeds on AS5 being BISS encrypted, what are the rules on this forum in terms of BISS codes, are they aloud to be posted?

A lot of the new feeds are also in Tandberg. There are a lot of Facebook groups for posting keys in. Some are invite only but most will accept newcomers in closed groups.

Helps if you also speak some of the Asian languages as some groups are not in English.

Personally most have given up getting stuff for free so they become Carpenters and construct tables using the mostly commonly used wood called FFh or OOh. You can get some good tools to become a good carpenter mainly from CSA.

the latest firmware can auto roll powervu and Tandberg.

Even so can just use notepad and use softcam to upload any key data by USB stick.

Allegedly ... another option is to use a satellite card ie hardware such as TBS Q-Box with software such as DVB Dream & latest V-plug plugin

This ... allegedly gives you more flexibility & likely better future proofing

Allegedly I have been told the Best box is the Duo2. The only issue apparently is using CCCam (can use many cams) where a channel uses the same sid for two different channels. surely there must be a softcam that is not dependent on the SID. The Openbox S16 uses NO SID. Apparently it uses only the Freq/Symbol Rate/Video Pid and the key so by this if you have 5 biss channels using the sid 0001 it will not be effected.

I have been told that FTP is the way to go, easy and fast and this is where boxes like the Duo2 stand out.

I have also the Hivion 9696 and never had issues with multiple SID 0001 as that is very common on AS5 biss feeeds

The Skybox I have also has no problem with SID 0001 for multiple biss keys on softcam When you have multiple satellites as I do then you will find many biss keys with SID 0001. However on my boxes don't need to add video pid.

I have a feeling these are simply the same box rebranded. I read about them but problem is getting an Indonesian company to take payment from abroad and ship abroad. SKybox A1 also has an FB page I have posted on there. However it's in Indonesian.

I should have bought more :-( but I was skeptical about there claims .. Boy I was wrong and should have bought a spare or 2.
you can also use the freesat V7 and V7 combo they do the same thing and are available on ebay. support can be found at freesat.cn also have Power-Vu etc and autoroll.
I've just bought one and haven't tried it yet so I cant comment on how they work .(I forgot about it after I got back from holiday and plugged in the Matrix)
