    Default Foxtel Changes

    Interesting.........

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

chief executive Peter Tonagh noted "Australian broadband infrastructure is not suited to delivering traditional premium quality of Foxtel IQ"
"We at the moment see indications that even NBN customers are not happy with the speed of the service,"
    There's a surprise... not!

What did they expect by delivering broadband over old copper?

Fibre to the node runs fine in Tas
have customers getting 90 meg connections with no trouble at all
have a lot of customers with fibre to the home having all sorts of trouble with badly bent, kinked, damaged or poorly spliced connections
have one customer that now has at least a dozen modems in his cupboard as every time he complains they say its the modem and send out a new one

I had a 3 month free trial of Foxtel through telstra (I got a free sat dish out of the deal which is what I really needed)
I rang up to cancel yesterday and they gave me another 2 months free.
5 months free AFL so far.... not bad
Telstra is also sending me out a free teltstra tv box
With 3 months free stan presto netflix etc.
I imagine the next step in 2 months will be something to do with foxtel on the Telstra TV box ???
Im quite happy to pay a few bucks for a game of AFL if its not on FTA
I dont want to pay $500 a year for 3 or 4 times my team isnt on
Telstra TV box will give me a few free twighlight games a year and all the replays from the website so its pretty good

    Not everyone is so lucky.

Many who have cut over to NBN can only get speeds that are much slower than what they had previously with ADSL.

If people have dodgy fibre installations, the installer needs to return to rectify any issues.
