I never had much to do with Vista due to feedback i was hearing at its time of release so i held off and didn't upgrade my Win2k until well after Win7 had been released. I have to say that i am very impressed with Vista and think that maybe peoples concerns at the time were due to the very different look and feel to what everyone was used to, being XP and 2000. Looking back I think Vista got an unfair reputation. Every device i own works flawlessly and has intergrated with it easily. What i have found is when i look for automatic updates and when Vista looks for driver updates it just hangs searching. A quick look online shows many people having similar issues but a lot of these posts are old, 2009.
Id like to avoid spending the $$ to purchase Win10 and would like to get this Vista PC updating but not if its no longer supported. I cannot find a mention online from Microsoft other than one article stating support will be ceased completely by 2017.
Before i spend hours tweeking settings, Am i wasting my time trying to get updates working??
