Default My Poker Machine Build....Using the roms i posted Ages ago!!

I thought i might post my Poker Machine build..

This is my first ever attempt of making a "Arcade Machine" So I call it..

The only reason i have done this is because..

I Can And i Love to Build something Different.

    Using: i5, 2g, 300hdd, win7 19inch old lcd screen

Took me a while to workout the layout of this, but in the end I did

I started with finding this Print online

    I resized the image..

And made a template more to my liking..

    Using 6mm Mdf.

Then used template and routed 16mm Mdf..

I then wrapped it with Kevlar 3d Vinyl wrap..

The Fan cutouts.. Very Happy hows these turned out

Ok now the outside looks like this

Now to start fitting it all, The Button Keypad, Monitor, Front panel + Marquee !!

Now to start putting it together

    Monitor placing now found..

Still have to put in few pieces..

    Thats the Build so far.

Im going to have to make a part 2 because i can only post 15 pics in One post..

    Some Electronics in part 2

    In part 2..

    Part 2

    Some electronics to play with

Then it was on to "how to" wire up the Mk6keypad to a Usb keyboard..
This took me a bit of time, so im going to post this to help others..To make sense of this
    Keyboard mapping..

And some of the stuff that will be going in to it..

This is all work in progress..

Over a year in the making..

    More to come very soon

    All put together.

Looking to be a nice build, but I always wonder what happens if the monitor dies and you would have to find a replacement EXACTLY the same size...

Those TCL monitors are not the best quality you know.

Thanks GT250 for your comments..Very Good thought

Lucky i have three in back room

I managed to get some more done today..

Finished fitting the Pc and wiring

Then i stuck on the El tape

And now it was time for a test.

As you can see i have to wire up the bottom+monitor leds into a individual power supply.
I will also be wiring the infinity light up to a individual power supply.
The infinity light has its own remote control so i can change colours, dimm, flash, turn it on or off..

Now for a software and keyboard test..

Now to Fix those Leds and install infinity light..

I also have Kodi installed on this machine which will also be a Video Jukebox.
I will be sitting this on a stand with a Logitech Sub a 4 speakers built inside the stand.
It should pack a punch when the Music is going..

    Ok thats it for now.

Good stuff, I always enjoy threads where someone is building something.

loopyloo, pokies software has been floating around for years, I can remember some was posted up for download here a few years back.

Yeah for sure ... put the pics up.
I've owned 3 mechanical pokies at different times. The last one was a major rebuild. Paid $20 for it, cost me around $400 to make it like new then sold it for a really tidy sum. Awesome project. I learnt pretty much everything about how they work and how to adjust them. Even had to manufacture some parts for the repair cos you can't buy them.
By the way, I replied to your PM.

    Great build.

Does it have any of the coin or money handling features?
Or is it just purely a Video Game?

Ive always wondered where the line is with the Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulations.
I suspect it has to do with the ability to take and dispense currency in relation to "Gambling".

    This story i found interesting

Not to distract from your work and great build you've done
There are 2 Aristocrat EGM's sitting collecting dust on a clients property, i'd always been interested to take a closer look at them.

No money just purely entertainment value..

And thanks for posting that link, I thought about that stuff.
But hey its just software in the end. With my build around it
