Hello everyone.
A friend has a C-band mesh dish, (I believe it’s 2.3 meter one), and he is able to get many channels on the AsiaSat 5 at 100.5°E Satellite, however, last month he lost one of his favourite channels (TVE Internacional Asia) and we don’t know what could be the cause of this.
I’ve done a blind scan on the High Definition box (a Strong SRT 4922A) which is DVB-S2/S, MPEG-4/2 H.264 Compliant and it does pick up many channels, but it doesn’t pick up TVE Internacional Asia as it did once before.
Does anyone know what could be the issue?
If it’s a faulty LNB, how is it that we can pickup other channels like we do?
Also...I need to mention that the Pole is dead solid and Dish is very tight as well, just in case someone could be suggesting that the dish could had moved.
Someone suggested that perhaps the LNB we have could be “outdated” and that perhaps TVE Internacional Asia are now using a higher definition signal?
Any feedback would be MUCH appreciated.
Willy
Incidentally, below is the info I’m using:
AsiaSat 5 at 100.5°E
Channel: TVE Internacional Asia
FREQ: 3,960 H
SR FEC: 30,000
5/4

1. In 2020 TVE Int'l moved to 3840 H SR 29720 FEC 5/6
2. These days reception of TVE Int'L become more challenging. New 5G from Telco towers is causing major interference effecting C-Band ...see
Replacing LNB with a one that has a builtin 5G filter can provide relife.
TVE Int'l Asia, different programing sourced from TVE 1 and 2, not streaming at this stage.
