Default Satellite Dish setup in Thailand

    Hi forum

I am not sure if this is technically possible, maybe someone here knows the answer

is it possible to setup a satellite dish in Thailand that can reach the signals for

1 Intelsat18 that transmits the Australia Plus channel

2 Optus D1 satellite that transmits free to air government and commercial Australian TV channels

if it can be done, any gotchas or tips that anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

    cheers to all.

    IS18 C-Band has Thailand coverage.

    Optus D1 Ku-Band doesn't.

thanks to the senior members for replying, I will check out KODI

with IS18 do I need any special receivers or just point the dish at the right spot in the sky and I'll get Australia Plus?

I live in Thailand six months of the year and have a 2.5 mtere mesh dish set up at ground level and there is no way i can get intelsat 18 its to low on the horizon, may be if you have a double story dwelling you just might be able to get it if you put the dish on the roof.

    hi hazman,
thanks for the interesting post, have you found a workable solution to viewing Oz TV in Thailand?

Kodi seems to be ok, but am not sure if it is possible to schedule and record with the Kodi solution.
