i have 2 7020 clones, on their own they work perfectly, but when both connected to my network (along with other receivers dotted about the house and family) everything starts to break down.
at first i thought this was due to one of them (server) running old gemini firmware and the other being on the newer PLi jade image.
I updated both to jade and still the problems, but only when both boxes connected. i downloaded sysinfo to both boxes, and even though the serial number and MAC address on the stickers on the box are different, they have exactly the same MAC address, i think this is whats causing my problems.
i know the MAC can be changed on a 500, is there a way to premanantly change the MAC of one of these 2 receivers so theyll work on the same network with no problems? and if so, how would i go about doing this?
cheers for looking

i have yet been unable to change the mac on a 7020 , have tried various methods but did not work .

The 500s method does not work on a 7020.
hey fat
this pli thread seems to suggest that it does work - has sample script and how to make changes - your mileage may vary mate
No it doesn't.
The thread is a waste of time, because the solutions offered are opinions presented as facts, when in fact they hadn't even bothered to test them.
I know firsthand that the factory was unable/unwilling to come up with a solution.
Maybe the PLi forum administrator, "jonc" , can improve the mileage ?

I don't have a DM7020 here to check, does it have the pins on the board for a Jtag like the DM500?
If so, perhaps we could change it via the bootloader like you can with a 500?
Lets just stay on topic hey gents?
Reality is an invention of my imagination.
