Re read the reviews, guess what bought it as the reviews rate it 4.8. Will have a play with it and then it will be some ones xmas present

Ordered two units paid for DHL postage, Arrived in 4 days, remote is very responsive, kodi works well box is set to superuser so my dvb TV dongle work on it to for dab radio

Came with kodi and Netflix installed, double press the menu button and hold it for a hidden menu too. It

Technically the power supply isn't to Australian standards as the pins aren't insulated

The SCISHION V88 TV Box Rockchip 3229 came today in post.
Might have a look tonight.
But, I notice there is a firmware update online 27/08/2016.
Not sure if I should fire up first and upgrade straight away.
Anyone else done a upgrade for this model?

I ordered on 10/11/16 & arrived 29/11/16

Tried to update via sd card but no luck,(me not doing some thing correctly) although things went a little faster after stuffing around and Kodi had updated to latter version, only paid A$26 for mine? think i must have had some credits. My rating 4.8 out of 5. Have a Minix which i paid A$175 and it is nearly comparable to it. Definitely no difference when watching Kodi. Just as good/comparable to the recent Aldi box @ $80, don't think an extra Gb of memory would make much difference to this box
So in conclusion if you want a cheap second box or set up a relative/friend or a xmas box for a limited budget go for it
ps a Logitech key board makes a big difference when operating

I had trouble with update to.
You have to rename the the file to update.img on sd card.
Put in box and then wait a minute, a window box will pop up asking
do you want to update. Click yes and let it boot up again after the install is complete.
Then it will ask you if you want to delete the update file.
I can also only compare to the $80 Aldi box.
For the cost, this does the job better.
Infact it displays 4k on a 4kTV, I have not connected Aldi box to 4k so not sure
but I think it only displays 720p.
