Hi. I am trying to receive a transponder on Palapa D 3.953 GHz, SR 6.100 V. I can pick up most others but not this one. Can anyone
pick this one up at all?

nope no CS needed just need softcam file and correct receiver
NO I just tried it. Just about anything on Vertical platform is NO go on a 2.3M. I heard a guy that cant even get it on a 3M Dish.
(Edit for comment NO spelling mistakes this time. I told the Specialist that by Xmas I will be reasonable OK. I say reasonable NOT the MESS that I was in 6 Weeks ago)

Thanks for the replies. I am in Rockhampton, Qld. I have a 3.5m solid motorised dish. I can receive all of the vertical channels except this
one. I have tweaked everything, from slew the LNB to moving the dish to moving the LNB in and out, ie. change the Focal Length. Nothing
makes any difference. Looking on the sat maps, there is a strong signal. Some of the SR are less than 2000, which I can receive ok. My
receiver is Strong SRT 4922B+ only 2 months old. Bought from Perth, by the way.
Anything else I could try?

do you know any one with a different receiver ?? I dont like strong that much. I use a freesat receiver works well on the palapa Xcrypt but my other receiver Kepnix K1 doesn't lock or even see it so my guess is the sensitivity of the tuner makes a difference.
Maybe borrow a receiver (any brand) and see if you can get signal lock.
Hi I use a V7 Combo but a V7 ,V7max or V7 combo even a V8 is fine yes they open Xcrypt.. Lnb can make a difference I had a friend who couldn't get IS19 very well (kept dropping out low signal) all we did was swap out the crappy Zinwell LNBF with a new one and problem solved . so its possible a different Lnbf would help. (just don't use a one cable solution type) as Palapa D is an extended band satellite ..
