Some time ago I received an email from an associate, the email had attached a text document called 'Ultimate how to.txt' and opened in notepad.
The document gave detailed instructions on setting up the SF918 and I found it very helpful but many of the imbeded links in the document, links that pointed to internet locations that held further information were destroyed when the document was converted from whatever was it's original state to the TXT format.

I wonder does anyone have the original of this document and if they have could they either lodge it here or upload it to rapidshare.

Im setting my 918 up but haven problems with the lnb im not getting any signal what so ever,atm im running a twin lnb outlet which are hooked up to a strong an humax running on 10700 ive disconected me hummy and the cable now in oct, setting ive done high/low 11300/10700 no signal tryed 10700/10700 no signal have tryed other lnb type and settings no signal and and yes my lnb power is on running out of ideas are thinking may have a prob in lnb conection in box i hope not,any ideas please.Thanks.

you are trying to put in the lnb settings of a single lo lnb in the field for a uni! You have to manually put in the 10700 lnb setting on the 918. How? I can't remember as it's been 12mths lol. I'll check for you when I get home if someone hasn't already answered.

All fine now had to change transponder once lnb freq was in the right part of the settings.

Could anyone please tell me why my brand new 918 won't read my NDS card. I have updated the firmware and it reads an irdeto card in the cam, but it doesn't read any other cards.

orange cards (NDS3) don't work

What about F****L? They are renowned for reading these cards, but mine doesn't. What have I done?

What is the colour of the F*xtel card you are inserting ?

Last time I checked they were either blue or orange. Optus cable is yellow.

Yellow/Orange = Not good

Solution = Setup your own Card Server using either cccam or newcs with the correct BOXKEY for your card.

Why won't my Optus card work in the 918, when it works in the Strong box? Must be a firmware problem.

You dont need a boxkey on a yellow card they are the same as a bluey.

An orange card needs a box key.

Try the yellow card in Octagon 918 slot with Beta5 firmware, I think this worked with bluey so if yellow is same I guess it may also work.
