Thanks Info,
It's amazing how quick you people are at helping poor souls like me. It is really appreciated.
Not sure if its going to work for you mate but its worth a shot.

Beta5 does work with bluey.

Go to antenna setup
Select Optus C1
Select LNB Type - Single
LNB Frequency press the < vol > keys till you get to 0
then press the blue button on your remote and press in 10700 then press exit then choose Yes to Saving Current Satellite data.
Then do a network scan starting from a pay tv transponder and it should get the new D3 signals .
Version V10647 still freezes remote control functions when using the PVR. A hard power off then on is the only way to fix it.
When will they get this right (I should say why in hell did they break it)!!!
Just wondering which 918 firmware is best with orange & newcs?
10647 is not so good.
I see Orange card in the Occy opens up all the new channels that I thought we would not get until 15th November...except the HD channels of course
Yep. so does bluey.. i got 3x7 3x9 and 3x10 now!!!

Just upgraded to 10647 on my 918 and then did a rescan of C1/D3 to get all the new channels in. After this finished I noticed a few channels missing such as 111 Hits and BBC Knowledge. After looking on Lyngsat for some info I noticed the channels missing are Videoguard only, not Irdeto 2. Could this be the reason they were not found? I set the scan to all channels (ie scrambled and FTA) so it should pick them up.
Any help is much appreciated.
They should all scan in nit (network search) on.
Otherwise manually enter all relevant transponders.
If you a looking for HD channels then manual scan of the 3 transponders required (S2 pilot on).
The firmware should have no relevance.
Nothing to do with encryption type.
The channels you're missing are on transponder 12688 H.
It just so happens that some clueless person that entered the tranponder data for that device entered it as a DVB-S2 transponder rather than a DVB-S transponder so if you use the default data it will miss the channels on that transponder. I have no idea why it was entered like that as it has never been a DVB-S2 transponder. You'll have to manually edit that transponder with the correct details and rescan.
Thanks guys for the info.
I'm guessing this means Lyngsat is not up to date as they have those channels on different transponders to 12688 H. Does anywhere have more current info?
Oh well will have a play when I get home from work.
Thanks again.
Lyngsat hasn't been updated for some time, especially since all the changes on D3 and channel migration from C1. It's next to useless now.
Just scan on any active Foxtel transponder with NIT turned on and it will scan everything in (except the DVB-S2 transponders will need to be manually corrected and then rescanned).
Lyngsat is never completely up to date. It only relies on volunteers to update the stats and they do that when they get around to it.
That's why most enthusiasts have at least one box that can blindscan so you can find out what's on and what's not.
You can also try this ,they claim it gets updated daily
As soon as I changed the 12688 H transponder those channels appeared, so thanks again for the help.
there seems to be a few sf918 up for sale lately, is this the end for this decoder?? no updates, no support etc etc....
