Just checking again. Does anyone know if cable tv can be received via satellite again like it could early last year? Is so what decoder does it now (Octagon doesn't seem to do it anymore)

It's not cable tv it's pay tv and it can be delivered via cable or satellite. The cards from cable receivers could be used in 3rd party satellite receivers but foxtel put a stop to that and also put a stop to cards from their satellite receivers working in 3rd party satellite recievers. Hopefully a fix will come soon.....

Morning guys,
I know this is an old thread, and an old box, but I have a sf918HD box. I tried every EMU firmware under the sun. The problem that I am having is, I have tried 6 bluey's and 1 yellow card in it, and it stays on initialising.( I know they no longer work in third party boxes). When I put a silver in, or a 4.1 card in, it shows up irdeto. Is it something I am doing wrong?
At the moment I have Beta 5 firmware installed.
Thank you.
blue and yellow are nds cards and yes as you've found don't work.

Thanks for that, but shouldn't they at least show up (shouldn't it still be read in the slot)?
My Octagon 918 just sits in the cabbinet unplugged doing nothing same goes for the next ye2000.
Are these worth selling or just bin them?
Hate seeing the 918 sitting there doing nothing.
You use them for free to air channels. There is more than just foxtel up there and if you look at pink plus or premium the movie channel is open at the moment on Intelsat 19.

The Roku gets a hammering atm. Pretty much everything we watch is thru that.
Only a matter of time before the wife says please remove it.
Hoe,
As for vast not sure I would benefit from it. Some family in the bush could maybe make use of it.
Whats the damage on a card and cam?
