Question on Nokia 6233 unlock + Optus Tech Supp. direct #?

Hey everyone.

I won't add to the list of how many people here asking the "How to"s when it comes to unlocking handsets. I have a Nokia 6233 here that is a couple of years old now (i guess) purchased on an Optus plan. when it boots up, it has the Optus penguin and optus colours...so one could only assume a Vodafone SIM card (for example) would be restricted.

I have sent through 2 email requests to Optis to call me since (a) the phone is old and (b) the plan is finished and i have upgraded with them and need instructions and/or a code (dont know where i type it in) to unlock the bugger so any restrictions are removed for future use or international roaming.

If anyone has information on a direct optus line i might be able to call; for mobile phones or even TECH SUPPORT who can help me with this (and i don't need the customer service numbers, i;m on hold for 15+ minutes) that wouldbe a bonus...or if there is anything else i might be able to try please advise.

u don't have to call optus
ur fone not locked
u would saved ur time if u tried it with non optus simcard
