Just checked output status
OP1 External Siren = OFF
OP2 Strobe = OFF
OP3 Smoke Sensor = ON (unused)
OP4 Internal Siren = ON (??? This doesn't look right to me).
Polarity setting for OP4 is TYPE 06.
Hi,
Just trying to get some help with my Bosch 6000 internal top hat not working.
I have replaced the top hat siren itself but I am thinking it is the polarity
of the output in the settings.
It hasn't worked since new - self installed (am an electrician).
Any tips from knowledgeable people out there?
Unit is a Bosch 6000, three tri-tech detectors, one keypad, one GSM 3G expansion module,
one RF receiver, one output expander module.
Thanks,
Ray

make sure your screamer is pos to C+ and neg to OP4.
Run command 4-9-1 to do internal siren test and put your multimeter on c+ and 4, you should see 12v, if you do and screamer doesn't work you either have a faulty screamer or a cable fault
6 is the default polarity, leave as is.

Thanks for your reply Robin. You identified it - faulty screamer. Grabbed a new one from jaycar today. All going well. New wireless detectors arriving next week. Now I want to add another strobe so will be shopping again. Seems the crims locally like to enter houses at night when people are home so looking at expanding my system to suit. Cheers. Ray
Ray is the panel battery connected ?. By default the outputs will not work if it is not.
You can change this in programming so they will work with no battery.
Thanks Kiwitech. All good now, was a faulty piezo.
Now just researching how to set up a second strobe (no siren). Haven't been able to identify
the current draw of a strobe as yet though.
I am thinking just set it up through output 5 and set the jumper to suit. Any ideas?
All new strobes now are led, so if the strobes are for the same area then should able to operate the 2 strobes together from the existing output.

Thanks Secure. Placing an order tomorrow.
It's in menu 4-1-5. Why are you not connecting the battery?
