    Default Firefox and images

When I click on an image (in a forum, on a hosting site etc) Firefox will load it and I can view it no problems at all.

However, if I then right-click and select "Save", Firefox actually sets about downloading the same image again!
It doesn't seem to save what it has already downloaded (and presumably cached for display purposes).
So effectively what is happening is it is downloading the same image twice.

Is there a way to make it save the already downloaded image I am previewing? Some files are quite large, and downloading them twice just uses up extra bandwidth (that we have to pay for) and takes more time.

Yep, that's what I do. Right click on the image, select "Save as", give it a destination then click OK.

Then the download box pops up and it starts "downloading" the image, rather than just saving the one it's already downloaded.

With some photos it seems to just save what it's already downloaded, but a large proportion of them start "saving" as a new download.
