GPS unit - Taiwan, HK and Spain

Hi guys,

I am going on a trip soon to Taiwan, HK and Spain. Am thinking of purchasing this unit: then "hacking" it so it runs different software.

However, the trip came a lot sooner than expected. A few quick questions:

1. Do you guys think that this device will work well for these travel purposes?
2. Is there particular software you think would be better suited for pedestrian navigation (we'll be with tours etc. - no driving.)
3. Which software for which countries (I think some software don't have maps for certain countries.)

Also, apart from entering address and so forth, is there software out there that lets you go "remember this place" and directs you back to it? I saw this feature on a BMW Nav system (Memorise vehicle position) and this would come in handy for navigating back to where we're meant to meet up with the tour!

Would normally love to do reading and research but times a bit short, so would appreciate any help! Thanks!
