Default Xiaomi Mi Box Amlogic S905X 2GB RAM 8GB ROM TV Box - International Version

I think someone else has posted about this Android Box.
Seems good and has got a lot of Firmware support.

    Also runs Netflix @ 4K

Probably worth a look if you are looking for an Android Media Player

Reviews a lot nicer than a generic china box, like any of the M boxes.
If they brought out a box with DVB-T tuner it would be great.

Seems to be a company that understands what the world market needs/requires admin
I agree, there are a lot worse choices out there, that is for sure (ALDI cocoon being one)

I have had one for 5 months or so. Goes great.

Android 7 is with the beta testers so it should get an update soon.

Default Look Inside the Mi Box

Xiaomi Mi TV Box Amlogic S905X Quad Core
Look at mi Box a few pictures of this well packed unit

Bit of a look at the Inside not a lot to see all covers soldered, so must be secret stuff.

First look and fiddle with Mi Box 3 (Official International Version great if you like the ATV format layout, and if you dont own a smart TV or just a monitor then this would take care of Business easy.

Mi Box 3 has all the Goodies of a good streaming unit, Googly supported. pretty easy if you ask me.
As more get out there I feel it will improve with some creative thinkers if not already.

The Unit is small no lights or annoying leds

The Remote is excellent voice commands, and can point just about anywhere and you have control solid feel to it.
As seen in other reviews abouts it's not a strong game player graphics wise, but will do the family orientated games etc with relative ease.
Has nothing much prove it was built with a purpose in mind and should cover that easily

After using official Android TV devices, I don't think I could be bothered with one of those generic Chinese Android boxes again. I know people like the high specs that a lot of them have but they just seem so clunky.

As I've probably said before about the tv tuner, the built in Live Channels app will let you watch networked tv channels. So you can set up a TV Headend server in your house and watch the local channels over the network - or get a HD Homerun box. It's not as bullet proof as a tv in terms of smoothness of channel changing and the TV Headend needs an occasional reboot but it's pretty good as a wireless option.

I have a HMDI Encoder hooked up to the Foxtel box which I can on my Mi Box. You can't tell the difference.

I think you have hit the nail on the head with that comment.
Same with High Spec Chinese Smartphones.... They might have the highest AnTuTu scores and 20 Core CPU's with 8GB of ROM, but that doesn't mean they run fast or smooth.

I think Apple have proved that over the passed 20 years having lower spec products, then run smoother and faster than their powerhouse PC competition.

Can someone tell me if the TV box makes a difference to annoying buffering channels on Kodi,
or is it a combination of the link and the internet connection?

I'm running 3 of these Mi boxes and one minix box (minix and 2 mi boxes in the house and the third mi box in the garage). The minix bluetooth remote helps the Mi box quite alot. Whirlpool has a lot of info on these Mi boxes. I think they are brilliant. The Mi box in the garage monitors my CCTV camera's while I'm in the garage. I can also access the internet in the garage as well as a heap of other things.
You can learn alot using Google, and the search button.....

You also have to be careful not to get one of the older models. They're pretty much the same box on paper but the old one doesn't use Android TV.
