Default My new GPS arrived! Interesting packaging!!

I haven't had a play yet but I couldn't believe how it was packed! Here is a few pics for a giggle. It's like the chinaman who packed it used the plastic container from his lunch!!

If I bought local I would of paid $200 extra for the flash packaging.

It came preloaded with demo of igo so it wasn't 100%. I download all what I needed last night so will have a go loading the latest igo tonight. I had a look and on the GPS there is a file viewer and you can browse to the files and the file that starts the nav program and I can browse via my pc also so all looks good.

Yes I've had 2 packed like that one from itstore07 and the second fron savecash for you. Methinks he's one and the same as the itstore07 disappeared about the time the "new" store opened.
Worse than that I'm getting the same run around on a faulty unit
(Yes thats 2 out of 3)
(sleep button won't resume). Funny how the English improves when you lodge a Paypal claim.
I just hate the way these sellers treat you just look at their comments when they've been left neg feed back.
Ah well rant over where was I?

    Talking New e-bay policy.

    G'Day all,
Perhaps you have not left feedback in the last few days.
It always gave me the shits when sellers said; " You leave me good feedback and I will do the same for you."
The new policy is that sellers cannot leave neutral or negative feedback.
It's time they woke up that this was blatant blackmail, and that sellers' score wasn't worth a pinch of shit.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".......

the new policy has its drawbacks for the seller...
I dont sell much on ebay, but I did once sell an xbox 360...
people stupid enough not to read description properly... left me with a negative feedback that the power supply & cables were not included... I sold the xbox console only.... and this was clearly stated on the page...
wasted about a month with ebay/paypal on this issue, never got anywhere so had to leave it there...

I also bought one from itstore07, same packaging. Those included white beans/noodles were not too tasty, however the gps works fine.

It appears that saveforcash took the place of itstore.

My GPS isnt the same as yours, I have the 3.5 model. My GPS seems to be the same as a Vivax brand one that is popular in Europe. There are quite a few hacks avaiable for the Vivax.

    Leroy,

I'd be interested to hear about the quality and volume of the speaker of your GPS.

    Also the quality of build.

As I'm getting on in years my hearing is not as good as it was so the voice quality is an important issue for me (however, I am not expecting hi-fi!)

    Thanks,

    Don

Does it come with free USA and Euro maps? Or do you have to pay for the extra maps?

LOL, I had something packaged in a similar way when I brought it from the US. Nice box too, I still use it all the time!
Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. You gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll end up with a cupboard full of pop tarts and pancake mix.
