Personally I keep in touch with some old freinds and travel Buddies on FB, I do like the Buy swap and sell as We have cleaned up so much crap around here over the years. Even sold an old Rusty water tank and good stand for $50.. Advertised it as great for a dog kennal on a farm... Would have cost me $$$ to take it to the Local tip. LOL.. I just did a quick search and found about 100 Austech's In the search

i usually use FB more these days for my beedroom dj stuff (keeping in contact with international dj`s producers etc) than just friends, after all thats why they have phones, skype etc.
much the same with twitter too, but thats also more for keeping in contact with people in the pentest / i.t security industry.

if anything i`m more on Mirc than anything else.

Although some form of backup for notices if anything bad happens or what not, causing people not been able to access the forum.
If i have helped you in anyway, dont forget to hit the Thanks button
