    Default Linux Mail Servers?

    Hi,

I am looking for a all-in-one complete linux based mail server system.

It must allow me to POP3 from my ISP, as well as POP3 locally on my intranet, SMTP to my ISP and have WEBMAIL.

I have downloaded several "packages" but they either dont do all of the above or require the use of things like "sendmail or fetchmail".

I have used sendmail and fetchmail before but have now want a single package that does all.

    thanks for looking in

Not aware of any packages that do all what you want in one package, but there are many packages that will work together to achieve what your wanting. Seeing as a MTA is a server and the pop3 collections are done by a client, you will probably find that you need to use multiple things to achieve the outcome you want. If I was to setup what your looking for, I would use Qmail and maybe vpopmail (see Bill Shupps Toaster ) with fetchmail to collect from pop3 and squirrelmail () for web mail on apache2. Almost all of these will have been packaged for the distribution your using as well most likely.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?
