Default Solder & Rework flux - Whats OK?

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for solder and flux brands that they find a good combo to use, The gear I have been using is getting a bit old and was looking for some ideas on better quality combo's if possible? Thanks

I always use the Multicore or AIM solder with 2% flux. The best flux I have found is the AIM no clean Flux Gel. It comes in 10cc syringes.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

I use the same flux as cwispy and it is by far the best flux on the market
as far as solder goes , I like to use a lead/tin/silver compound , it has a slightly higher melting temp . it has higher wetting properties than standard lead/tin solders and also has a much higher strength rating . Cannot remember the exact composition and the label has come off the roll lol , but it is about 1.5% silver I think
the beaut thing about it is if you are doing close joints , you use the silver solder on the first joint then standard solder at slightly lower temps for each leg which prevents flow on and remelting of joints

BTW I hate lead free solder it is shite
