Legality is the buyer's issue, I suggest they do due diligence before any purchase ,laws both state and federal vary.
Serious penalties apply for illegal sale or possession of gaming machines
Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) has recently identified a number of online sales of used gaming machines being promoted as 'man cave' furniture, prompting concerns about their potential use for illegal gambling.
NSW residents are warned that the Gaming Machines Act 2001 imposes serious penalties, including fines and imprisonment, for illegal possession or sale of gaming machines.
It is against the law to be in possession of a poker gaming machine in NSW unless properly authorised, with maximum potential penalties of up to $11,000 and or 12 months imprisonment applying.
Members of the public are advised not to purchase gaming machines if found advertised.
Any member of the public in possession of a gaming machine should immediately report it to L&GNSW to avoid potential prosecution.
Suspect gaming machine sales can be reported for investigation on 02 9995 0837 or complaints@olgr.nsw.gov.au

As mentioned, laws vary, you can own one in the ACT for example ( I am sure politicians make these exemptions in the ACT for themselves ). Regardless, to quote myself, " Legality is the buyer's issue, I suggest they do due diligence before any purchase ,laws both state and federal vary ". We are not the police, and this site is hosted in the US, which also has pokie laws that vary with state and federal jurisdiction. Advice that due diligence should be taken has been posted and as far as I am concerned that is as far as our obligation goes.
Keys too?? Back when I was fixing them, there was only a handful of keys that were used across numerous sites. Then there was a tech key, and another key for the logic area. This one was the devils key and there was only a couple of variations across a very very large area. This one was double locked in a safe, that required both a tech key and site key - and had to be authorised or resulted in a centrally monitored alarm (usually resulted in prompt police attendance if activated!!) And if I remember correctly, opening an unauthorised logic area on any machine resulted in a site lockdown (all machines froze)... Anyway, I was side tracked and it has no doubt changed now days
Damn, apart from the legality issues, it would be a perfect addition to my bar (and it's just down the road a ways). Apparently it's even illegal to own boards etc from gaming machines.
A reminder that the BST is not a discussion/comments forum.
Please restrict posts to questions/offers to the seller.
Thanks.
