I don't know about Foxtel, but UK TV networks have blacklisted the servers used by many VPN companies. Possibly Foxtel have done the same.
I have found that dns4me continues to work for my UK stuff. It's not a VPN but provides local DNS facilities.
I was recently i Thailand and attempted to watch the footy on my laptop hooked the Nord VPN onto an Aussie server and logged on .
Both came back unable as I was outside Australia.
Any clues on how they figure that out when I am on an Aussie server ?

as Tristen has observed, many suppliers, like Foxhell, Netflix, etc. do blacklist known VPN servers. Sometimes a lesser known VPN service may work for a time until the service supplier cottons on that a VPN is being used.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
