Samsung Model SCH-R500

Hi,
a friend as arrived from the US for 3 weeks with her new Samsung phone.
When she bought it, she apparently asked if it would work here and could she put a local sim card into it.
The sales guy assured her yes on both counts.
Last night she asked me if I could put in a local sim card, but for the life of me I couldn't find any slot.
Nothing below the battery and only usb/power and a micro sd slot on the side.
Had a quick look on the net today, found the user manual but it doesn't mention anything about a sim card at all, so I'm guessing it doesn't have one.
Does any one know if this model has a sim card slot or not.

Hi mate
The problem is: Band CDMA 1x 800/1900MHz Digital Only EVDO.
Its a CDMA handset, try send it back to where she got it from and get your monye back, wont work here and if u manage to get it working, the CDMA network will be closing very soon!

She'll be back in the US in a few weeks and can return it to the shop there.
I guess sometimes sales people will tell you anything just for a sale!
She has a borrowed 'local' phone now so everythings fine for her trip, I was just curious about this phone.
