"A parent whose baby has been given a health card that does not specify a gender believed to be a world first has said the aim is to allow the child to discover their gender on their own."
What a crock!!!
That poor child... how can 'it' be expected to decide what gender it is.
This kind of crap shouldn't be allowed.
If, later in life as an adult that 'person' wishes to make a gender change... no problem... but a baby?..... that is just cruel!
Look Here -> |
Would not have believed it if I hadn't read it. No doubt the baby is sucking on a bottle of fully organic soy milk and listening to gender neutral animal friendly nursery rhymes while it's mum and mum enjoy 15 minutes of fame after committing the baby to a lifetime of red tape.
Cheers, Tiny
"You can lead a person to knowledge, but you can't make them think? If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
The information is out there; you just have to let it in."
Just a quick tip to help this poor child avoid confusion when "it" gets older. Let's resort to good old anatomically correct binary gender. If it has a penis, it is a boy. If it has a vagina, it is a girl.

A child abuse charge should be againt the parent/s. It is straight up abuse.
Exactly.
Psychological abuse at the very least.
I just say "good morning XX's and XY's" that way I can't get into trouble.

Statistically, if you wait long enough, everything will happen!
The parents will obviously get divorced after the mother convinces the court this child isn't hers
Man that's scary I have a little girl on the way. It's just cruel to not let her be who she is. She's a girl, pink room, stuffed animals the whole 9. I want grandchildren and a large family. This choosing your own sex crap is nuts your either born a boy or a girl how did this change so drastically along the years. Also what kind of upside down, politically correct world will she have to grow up in. The world has gone mad, how do I protect my child from the confused masses that think nature made the wrong choice for them. It's a sad state of being when we have to worry about things like this.

It does seem a bit odd, but then again, I wonder if the babies sex was physically indeterminate? Although it is very rare, it does occasionally happen. In older days kids born this way would normally have their sex decided by the doctor depending on how closely the genitalia resembled either male or female bits, and surgical adjustments made to reinforce the look, if it was possible. But they didn't always get it right, and the poor kids would lead a life of total confusion, or shame and embarrassment. That begs the question though, would they have determined sex by which chromosomes the kid had? The kid may be affected by Disorder of Sex Development (DSD) syndrome.
Bit of info here:
Anyway, there are legitimate reasons for actually doing this (don't know if this is pertinent to quoted story though) and the number of cases is not insignificant. The papers will never report a story that doesn't meet their criteria for sensationalisation, which this would have been if it was for a purely medical reason.

Edit: there's a bit about extra chromosomes here

Possibly a Hermaphrodite.
There's a vid floating around the net with Ron Jeremy having sex with one............ sick #$@*.
From the story, I don't think the baby is a Hermaphrodite.
The 'parent' is 'transgender' and said...
So my feeling is that the parent thinks that just because he/she changed gender as an adult, that the (most likely anatomically-normal baby) should not be categorised as male or female according to what bits they have or don't have, so 'it' has the right to determine which gender it 'prefers' to be recognised as, regardless of what genitalia it was born with.I think were starting to understand that gender identity is not directly attached to genitals, Kori Doty, a non-binary trans person who does not identify as male or female, told the Guardian in an interview.
And this nutter transgender parent is inflicting this choice on a baby to determine.
A baby, or young child is incapable of making such a decision.
As I said, this amounts to nothing less than psychological abuse by the parent IMHO.
Honestly these transgenders, homosexuals or whatever they like to call themselves should never be allowed to have kids.
Confused parents bringing up confused kids.............
I'd hate to be around in 50 years time to see the sort of hybrids we'll have running around.
And nobody can convince me it's genetic - if it was they would have all died out long ago.
