Very strange it runs TomTom and not MioMaps from the box, Mio/Igo 8 (3d) looks pretty good, you would think it comes with that

Can anyone tell me how the smaller screens of PDA's are compared to a 4x3.
I know it's smaller, but do you need a large screen? Doesn't the voice directions give you all you need? Surely you don't have to drive while looking at the screen!!!

The screen is fine, you wouldn't suffer from it's smaller size. As far as voice directions go, I found I need to look on the screen from time to time in order to turn to a right street, especially when you have few of them close to each other.

I have a mio a701 and my advice is leave it alone they are not worth the board they are printed on.
The battery is meant to hold 24 to 75 hours charge mine doesn't even have 8 hours. Even after buying a new battery it still plays up.
The cover on the SD card slot falls off and needs reglueing.
The miomaps its ap rubbish and it crashes all the time and when the phone rings when the gps is on it all freezes.
    My advice try something different.
