I don't get it. They say they are ceasing AU operations to concentrate on they're US operations.

Why can't we just stream for Pandora.com and listen that way or are they going to regionalise their stream effectivity blocking Pandora from AU users???

Judging by the tone of an email I received, yes.

    Think DNS or VPN.

The problem for them, just like streaming, ebooks etc. is no doubt that the so-called "rights owners" are clinging to the old business model of licensing content by region. They are trying to use DRM and region blocking to create on the net the equivalent of physical barriers like mountains, oceans, rivers etc. They attempt to artificially divide what is on the internet one market into many. And Aussies are one of the main victims. I suppose Pandora has decided it is better to spend the money they were paying to licence material for Australia and New Zealand elsewhere.

Quite a lot of Australian cars come with Pandora as a feature in the entertainment system.

Yep. My Mazda has it and it's much easier than anything else to get running with the voice commands.

If you're in the same boat, might be worth checking this out. It lets you install Android Auto into the MZD Connect stuff.

The problem at the moment is that the latest version stops bluetooth phone calls from working.

Just got my first message that Pandora isn't available in my country whilst using Getflix DNS. This means Pandora is either clamping down on DNS fixing, or Getflix had a hiccup. Nothing has been reported on the Getflix site or their fb feed.

I'm often the first to discover problems with Getflix so recommend create a ticket and see what they say.
