Hello. Looking to buy a HDD for a 4K hikvision NVR. A quick google shows alarmingly high failure rates for popular brands like WD. Something like 7% failure rate compared to an enterprise HDD brand like HGST (now owned by WD I know) with around 1%. Naturally I'm looking to HGST. However, the one thing I'm not sure of is the intended drive purpose. The HGST drive im looking at is intended for NAS drives. Will this work for my system? It will have about 4 cameras set to record on montion only, but at 4K. Also, the drivenis faster than WD purple at 7200rpm vs wd purple's 5400rpm. Which should I go for? Thanks.
