Default Security system for existing house

This is my first post, so please be gentle.

I'm looking and having an alarm and camera system installed into an existing two story home (house size is about 160m2) including single garage..

    - Looking for motion detectors on windows, doors, garage
    - Alarm
    - Zoning to allow for animals/people to walk inside at night without setting off alarm
Prefer wired over wireless, but I don't believe we have pre-wiring done so will needs to use an installer.
    4x motion sensors Internal
    2-3 external motion sensor lights
    3-4 external cameras
We aren't keen on a monitoring company keeping an eye on our alarm, wouldn't mind having the alarm system notify us by phone/email.

Further, I'm looking for a system that:

Doesn't use magnetic door/window sensors (but rather a less bypassable method)
Uses motion sensors other than IR
Doesn't use old cellular technology in control panels/keypads
    Has an alternative power supply
    Has anti-jamming counter measures
    Doesn't use remotes.

Could you please advise me on a suitable system that doesn't cost the earth & a recommended installer in the Sydney region?

From your post, I'm going to suggest you've read way too much fiction, or are attempting to protect the crown jewels.

Here's some hard truth. No matter what system you install in your house, someone with enough knowledge will always find a way past it if they want to. No electronic security system is infallible. Having said that, unless you're a super high risk (firearms, cash, jewels, drugs) why would someone bother with you that has an alarm over your neighbours that don't?

Doesn't use magnetic door/window sensors (but rather a less bypassable method) - most common method of protecting doors/windows and unless a crim knows where they are, they're not going to be able to effectively get around them. There are other devices that can be used in some cases such as old school plungers etc. Shock sensors can also be considered for windows.
Uses motion sensors other than IR - Again, the most common method of detecting motion. If you want anything else, you're going to spend a fortune
Doesn't use old cellular technology in control panels/keypads You don't want it monitored so it wont.
Has an alternative power supply All systems installed under AS/NZS 2201.x are required to have a backup battery
Has anti-jamming counter measures You specified hardwired. What do you think someone's going to jam?
Doesn't use remotes. Your system, your choice. Don't specify them.

I guess I read too much online from Blackhat & Defcon reports.

Any recommended models or installers in the Penrith/Blacktown area?

Panrith/Blacktown Would you not be better off paying protection money to "The Boyz"?
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

    Eager Learner,

It's quite difficult to give you this sort of info over a forum, any good security company in your local area would be more than happy to come out and give you a quote and advice, hit up Google and ring around.

They all seem to want to supply the alarm system at a significantly higher cost than I can purchase myself.

I'm looking for someone who can install a system I purchase.

It is the cost of doing business that is being added to the system, ie Security Licenses, vehicles, tools, office staff, travel time etc,

None of these are free for business owners and do need to be passed on to the client.

So you are going to be paying for all warranty work costs on everything you supply which would exclude any installation workmanship issues only. It going to end in tears if anything goes faulty during the warranty period for you.

While I can readily understand your desire to save money where possible, buying your own equipment and expecting a qualified, reputable person to install it is fraugt with difficulty, particularly if you experience problems post installation.

Personally, I have always been loathe to install equipment supplied by a customer/others, as it can result in extreme frustration and ill-will when problems arise, due to three parties being involved, i.e. customer, supplier and installer.

It's far better to allow an installer to recommend and supply the equipment because you are dealing with only one person/company, rather than with two. In other words, the buck stops there.

We have a policy for people that buy stuff like this.
You buy it you install it - we charge you to fix it / replace it with what is appropriate.

It's good to try and save coin but if you don't have the knowledge or skills then you need to reward those that have invested time and money to gain it.
The other option is to employ a contract monkey.

Thank you for all the advice.

Can a licensed Electrician (mate) do the installation or do insurance companies require the installation be conducted by a licensed security alarm installer?

Also, I have had a few different quotes on the installation and have been recommended a number of different products:

Bosch 3000 (not sure whether to go IUI-Sol-Icon or Touch Screen Code Pad 7")
Bosch 6000 (I have been informed this is more for commercial purposes and is overkill for the residential market)
Bosch 880 (I have been informed that this is superseded & has fault issues)
    DSC Alexor
    Helix Panel
    Paradox MG5050
    NESS R16
    NESS D16XD

Which would be best given that there is limited roof cavity for doing a hardwire job (low profile colourbond roof) also we are in the Opticomm Fibre suburb of Ropes Crossing and have been told there is no copper for phone lines, so a GSM/GPRS dialler would be good for self-monitoring.

Also, potentially going to want cameras (inside and out in future), so I'm thinking a 8-16 zone panel (I presume cameras take up a zone)

Best installed by a licenced security alarm installer.
I don't think the Bosch 6000 is overkill for a home alarm system. It would be my choice.
Otherwise Bosch 3000 or Paradox MG5050.
The Bosch 6000 is a aussie designed and made product. Has a plug on GSM module which does self monitoring via call or sms. It also has a very good phone app called MyAlarm which can do push notifications via the gsm module or IP module.
Cameras will be a separate system and don't use an alarm zone. Look at Uniview or Hikvision

Any reason the DSC Alexor, Helix or NESS systems don't cut the mustard?
