Tpg hfc nbn
I am getting NBN via HFC shortly from TPG, they sent a modem in the mail with a DSL phone connector and a WAN lan port but there is no screw in cable port for the wall socket where my old foxtel was. Does this mean NBNco when they send a tech will supply a cable modem that this new modem from TPG will plug in to ?
I have only a single power outlet close by the old Foxtel socket, and my guess is I will need to change that out to a 2 socket wall plate before they arrive.

A ten second Google SEARCH led to .
It appears to answer your question.
I saw that pic, but as i pointed out above, I only received the modem, not the cable box. I thought they would post both out or supply a single unit that does the job of those two in the picture. I am making the assumption that since I got the modem only that a tech will supply the cable modem part.
The diagram is self-explanatory.
What you've received is a router.... the actual cable modem will be supplied by the installer.
If you have corded telephones and/or devices, other than a single handset... you also need to make changes to the building cabling so that is connects to the handset port on the router.
