    Default Freesat V7 Combo

Just purchased one of these boxes a few weeks ago.
Works beautifully, however my USB WiFi Dongle arrived in the mail today and after I inserted, nothing.
It is the correct chipset etc. The box doesn't acknowledge me putting into usb slot.
unable to config wifi setup etc cause it doesn't see it there.
Firmware was recently updated but I doubt that is an issue.
HDD works perfectly out of USB slot.
    any thoughts ??

    Have you tried here:

I haven't paid a lot of attention to it, but I seem to recall quite a few threads a while back about dongle problems.

Plug the dongle into a pc first and see if its recognized. If it does find it in a pc that will confirm the wifi dongle is ok, if not could be faulty Dongle. Also do the latest firmware update that has a lot of fixes included

The PC does see it. I took it apart and there is nothing on the chipset. There is a 4 code on the usb pins 4916.
Not sure if that's the 'protocol'
I'm throwing it and buying one locally so I know I will get the correct chipset.

Noticed an error in this Firmware
Not sure if its been covered before.
I have been unable to get Terrestrial channels ABC on unit.
Noticed there is actually the 226500000 missing from search.
Was unable to add via Database software.
Did another scan via another Country [England] and all is good.
    Well almost.
It seems you cant scan 2 or more country's. seems to lock up and get no signal.
So I wiped firmware and scanned England first and all was good then.
