Well fark me, reading all the above, I feel like a newbie to this site, but enjoy every moment of banter & helping people if I can; & a big thank you to those that have helped me thru some technical issues in the past.

I've only met 3 members personally & was pleasantly surprised that my online vision of them was correct, good people all.
    Cheers, Tiny

Wow, 20 years. Very long time. Congrats on the aniversary.

I remember my first satellite setup in Exmouth WA, around the same time. 6' dish and PAL decoders. Even had a homemade E-PAL adapter.
Not long after, upgraded to 15' C Band.

I knew I joined before the 'crash of 08' as I had printed out some directions (which I still have) on programing a Humax.
I was and still am an 'Around' the perimeter type of user as much of what I read was beyond me and much of it still is.

As for 'Memory', my neighbour then was an engineer at a factory and he had a 386 or similar and he told me that to add to the memory, the cost was $100 a MB !!

May I wish AUSTECH a Happy Birthday and may it continue to annoy and be politically incorrect for decades to come !!
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

I was just looking back through archive.org and it looks like I must have started using the domain cdcopyworld.net on UBB in October 2000 (my join date).

I see Bagman was a member then, and likely before so he has been around min 17 years. Anyone else have that many years up ?

I came here to find out how I could get GWN in the Perth metro area so I could watch my beloved West Coast Eagles live and also watch the cricket live from the WACA. Ended up with a motorised ku dish, motorised c-band dish, half a dozen dreamboxes, card programmers, vhf radio, uhf radios, xbmc, chipped game consoles.....and I still have my wife

Lets start a poll and see how many members still have Pace DGT-400's, STU-100,120,200 or Jerold STB's in their garage. I threw all mine out about 7 years ago if you guys have still have any of these you are officially hoarders.

Well it looks like you are winning.......and might be the winner. Geez its hard to remember back that far.

I weighed 80kg's in 1999 and was super fit. I now weigh 115kg's....and am definitely not as fit as that now.

I'll blame it on giving up smoking at that time.
