Don't recall the exact year I joined.

I think it was around 2004... quite a while before the crash of 2008.

Austech has to be one of the world's great forum survivors.

Thanks to everyone for helping achieve that!

Wow! 20 years and still running like a young horse
Happy birthday to Austech and the wonderful community!!! I joined around 1998 when was looking for ways to use Optus cable TV and found nice PC program here.
Since then, can't remember a single day without checking what is happening.

    Awesome milestone.
I'm a member of quite a few forums, some are ok, most are crap, none of them are any where near as friendly and helpful (and fun) as Austech. In fact I rarely use most of the others any more.
Thanks so much Mr Admin for your hard work keeping the site running and many thanks to the other members for putting up with me.
    Happy Birthday to all !!!

Well done Admin and to the rest that had been and gone!!

Gotta say, l've learned lots, and only given a little...

I was trying to work out when I signed up as it was not long before I ended up in court over info I found on the CDCopyWorld forum with regards to Modding PlayStations! Pretty sure it was early '99 and luckily "It was only to be used for playing personal backups" which I was luckily smart enough back then to stipulate on the info I provided...

Joined either late 2001 or early 2002.
I was so annoyed when I came back from Europe (a Sat TV heaven) with all my analog Equipment, only to discover that Australia was so far
advanced with their digital Pay TV (even though they didn't have energy saver lamps for many years to come), that I had to PAY to watch anything
    interesting on Telly.
Luckily I found Austech with the clever members who could solve my problem until Irdeto 2

Lost after that interest in Sat TV when other solutions and technologies emerged

Happy birthday and hopefully many more to come

Hello, I can tell you that the first time I entered was to request help and I was very well attended by the members of the forum and I found the solution to my questions. Much encouragement and strength to keep the forum, greetings and thanks to the foreros and as not to the founder and moderator. Happy Birthday
