Given the recent changes on Optus D1 and Intelsat 19 referred to in...
it become apparent that a new type of receiver is needed. As is always the case at this early stage compatible receivers are expensive commercial type.. On the domestic side I noticed Octagon, OpenBox X6 and latest Xcruiser are all from the house of Fortis Korea. Current receivers are programmed to process one single stream for each TP. The Multi Streaming is a consolidation of 4 or more streams into a single TP. No rocket science.. since receivers won't save same TP frequency for a given satellite 4 times or more, the software writer should be able to modify the software to allow just that. and download the NIT tables as is under the same frequency.
I would be interested to know if anybody got a DVB S2 receiver with Manuel PID input menu and a 90cm or bigger dish on Intelsat 19 Or D1 and check any of below by entering the different PCR PID's , APID and VPID... and see if the channel is running ?

Look Here -> |
I tried using a Freesat Super V8 on Intel19 and couldn't get the separate streams.
Might be wrong but I've now sold it.
I have all three, Openbox X6, Openbox V8Combo and Freesat V7 Combo.
Unfortunately, none of them have provision for manual PID entry.
I don't know of any less-expensive receivers such as those listed, which do allow manual PID entry.

I suspect nothing but a dvb-s2x tuner will reliably receive the new streams.....
If you have a box with removable tuners, I'd be looking online for an upgrade....

I don't know if this is of any relevance or not, but the Strong SRT4922A and SRT4930 both have a PID scan facility.
The scan permits entry of VPID, APID, and PCR PID.
I've tried looking for the IS19 TP 12569V with the SRT4922A on a 90cm dish......I get momentary bursts of green in the SQ bar, but won't hold long enough to complete a scan.
When the weather clears, and time permits, I'll reassemble the 1.5m solid that's sitting in the shed and see if that's any better.

Openbox SX6 or SX6 HD?
The STiH237 chipset, which is used in the SX6 HD is not capable of resolving 16APSK.
The state:
The STiH237 integrates a high performance satellite receiver supporting DVB compliant
reception, channel demodulation, and forward error correction (FEC). The single stream
demodulator is compatible with DVB-S2 (QPSK/8PSK), DVB-S (QPSK) and legacy
DirecTV(TM) transmission standards.

I read somewhere that the channel nine streams above could be viewed ... but then something changed recently ..... and then could not be viewed
it was thought by the poster that they may have been scrambled ..... but maybe they have changed the streams to DVB-S2X ?
There are not many Satellite receivers available at the moment that will do DVB-S2X (also need 16APSK & able to do the correct symbolic rate too)
would be good to get a receiver that will do DVB-S & DVB-S2 & DVB-S2X if one exists
(Apparently DVB-S is used for SD transmissions, DVB-S2 is used for HD transmissions & DVB-S2X is used for UHD or 4K transmissions)

Wasting your time unless you have a dvb-s2x tuner......

I have a Vu+uno with a removable tuner.
I saw this offered
or this
However not sure the Uno is capable of fitting this tuner or if it will work .
40 euro about $60 Aus
Just found this
99Euro about $150 plus postage, seems overkill for my box

Channel 9 mux works on a tbs 6983 tuner card
Here we go... UP1000 $199.- in my door from MediaStar, ABC, Ch9 and SBS all good. Also tested receivers using Hisilicon Hi3716 MV330 processor. despite the sepc. MultiStream and 60'000Mbs, could only get the Channel 9 on I19 to work, D1 did'nt work. This cheap box use Hisilicon
I have Strong receiver and Sharp LNB on NBN Dish.
Been using for FTA ABC and SBS through Optus D1.
Can someone translate what Sat Box I can buy to get the channels back.
I never had the money to purchase Government offer for VAST receiver and dish installation.
The offer was finished before many people knew it was offered. A second round still missed people here.
I tried Googling UP1000?
Quote: D1 didn't work.
Is there a box other than Activated Vast I can purchase for ABC, SBS and 9?
I think you'll find UP is an abbreviation for Ultraplus and he was probably referring to the UltraplusX1000
A few points to consider though....
1/. The current transmissions on D1 may change again later. If that happens, the Ultraplus box will not likely be able to receive them and you'll have wasted your money.
2/. The Ch9 mux is on IS19 and ABC and SBS on D1, so you will need some method of switching between satellites to get them both.
3/. For around $100 more, you can get a new VAST box which will give you all the commercial networks plus all the ABC and SBS channels.
BTW, you should weatherproof the connector on your LNB with amalgamating tape, otherwise it will eventually corrode inside.

Got a bit confused, not up with all the language.
Decided to buy Ultraplus X-1000HD+ satellite decoder for now.
Bit cautious of dealing with business without online or known distribution.
Should be right, but here is a little story:
Reading an agricultural forum where some character is suggesting a you beaut product.
Google the product name to find it was banned in EU due to radioactivity,
and anyone who has come in contact should seek medical advice.
Is the story true, that's always the question?
Thanks
Set up my ultraplus 1000x today below are some pics of the signals i'm getting
Of D1, The dish is a 85cm on a moteck motor I tried to get signals off the channel
9 muxs on intelsat 19 but no sign of a signal got a 1.2 meter that I will try later.
