Given the recent changes on Optus D1 and Intelsat 19 referred to in...
it become apparent that a new type of receiver is needed. As is always the case at this early stage compatible receivers are expensive commercial type.. On the domestic side I noticed Octagon, OpenBox X6 and latest Xcruiser are all from the house of Fortis Korea. Current receivers are programmed to process one single stream for each TP. The Multi Streaming is a consolidation of 4 or more streams into a single TP. No rocket science.. since receivers won't save same TP frequency for a given satellite 4 times or more, the software writer should be able to modify the software to allow just that. and download the NIT tables as is under the same frequency.
I would be interested to know if anybody got a DVB S2 receiver with Manuel PID input menu and a 90cm or bigger dish on Intelsat 19 Or D1 and check any of below by entering the different PCR PID's , APID and VPID... and see if the channel is running ?
