At the time the Arab Information Ministers Council was concerned to draw up an agreement concerning the regulation of Arab Satellite Channels work and Media Honor Charter, in order to ratify and issue as domestic national legislation in all Arab states, the Egyptian Ministry of information has prepared bill of the National Body for regulating audiovisual broadcasting. The matter motivates the Group to adopt holding Arab Satellite Festival entitles:

Where it includes conference (public sessions, Workshops, open symposiums) affiliated to its work,
Exhibition stands for sponsors, the country guest of honor, Media Day Body, As well as, survey for selecting the Year Media Elite & crowning "The Best Liked" (channel- program- broadcaster) among Arab Satellite Channels,

Subject of the conference:
To discuss the negative effects of the absence of legislations regulating the work of satellite channels and defining its rights and duties, the basis of Media Honor Charter of it, and the rules of establishing Arab Union for Arab Satellite Channels.
